Sole Endorsement Follows Machinists 751 Endorsement of Emily Earlier this Week
BREMERTON, WA— Today, United Association 32, Western Washington labor union for plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC/refrigeration mechanics, announced their sole endorsement of State Senate Deputy Majority Leader Emily Randall’s campaign for Congress. UA 32’s endorsement is the second major labor union endorsement for Emily Randall this week, following Monday’s endorsement by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), District 751.
Both endorsements signify growing enthusiasm for Emily’s campaign for Congress, especially within organized labor. Senator Randall grew up in Bremerton in a Union household and has been a labor champion since taking office.
Momentum continues to grow in Emily’s race for the open Sixth Congressional District. Prior to receiving the sole endorsements of UA 32 and IAM 751, she received the sole endorsements of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Senator Patty Murray, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, State Senate Majority Leader Andy Billig, and State Speaker of the House Laurie Jinkins.

Like many in the 6th Congressional District, I grew up in a hardworking Union household. My mom is a paraeducator at South Kitsap High School, and my dad was a shipfitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. My wife is now an apprentice carpenter. That’s why I am so proud to receive the sole endorsements of UA 32 Plumbers and Pipefitters, and Machinists 751.
My Union family didn’t always have it easy. But I saw my parents and my neighbors work hard, and I learned those lessons. That’s why I’ve spent my career finding common-sense, practical solutions to the problems our communities face, to ensure folks have the tools they need to build their own futures.
I am running for Congress to continue to fight for good Union jobs for working families like mine, and I look forward to working hand in hand with unions like UA 32 and IAM 751.
