PODER PAC Endorses Reproductive Rights Champion Emily Randall

The only national political action committee solely dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic Latinas to Congress, PODER PAC is the latest group to endorse Emily Randall for Congress.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, PODER PAC, the first and only political action committee founded by and for Latinas to elect pro-choice, Democratic Latinas to Congress, is proud to announce our endorsement of Emily Randall for U.S. Congress.

“Emily is the right candidate to protect this seat and give Washingtonians the representation they deserve,” said Ingrid Duran, PODER PAC Board Chair. “PODER PAC enthusiastically stands with Emily and looks forward to having the first ever out LGBTQ Latina in Congress.”

“As Deputy Majority Leader in the Washington Legislature, Emily has fought to protect abortion access, cut costs for working families, and expand access to education. Her track record speaks for itself,” said Catherine Pino, PODER PAC Board Member. “Emily is the clear choice for the district.”

“As a queer Latina and former Planned Parenthood fundraiser, it is an honor to have PODER PAC’s support. When I first ran for office, I was constantly told I was “too much” — but organizations like PODER PAC understand that our country’s diversity is our greatest strength. Like my parents, I grew up in a union household in Washington’s 6th District. My neighbors’ stories are my stories, and I have spent my career fighting for common-sense solutions to improve everyday life in my community,” said Emily Randall, candidate for U.S. Congress WA-06. “With the support of PODER PAC, I look forward to making history as the first queer Latina elected to Congress and continuing to fight for the community I’m proud to call home.”

PODER PAC fuels innovative candidates who are determined to change the current political landscape and the institutions that govern us. Our empowered Latina candidates demonstrate a commitment to our Latino community and the inequities we face everyday.
